Office 365 Goes Down in Australia, New Zealand
Microsoft has acknowledged that customers in Australia and
New Zealand are getting difficulty opening its Office 365 portal on Monday
morning.
Many of the users in Australia and New Zealand said Monday
morning that they were unable to access Microsoft's Office 365 server,
referring to the "unstable error" when trying to reach the service.
The Down Detector shows that users started registering the
problem at 9am, just as the work day began for many people on the east coast of
Australia.
Microsoft has admitted on Twitter that the first statements
suggest that users go to the management portal 50 minutes after the attack on
the Down Detector.
“We’re investigating an issue in which some users may be
receiving an error when attempting to access Microsoft 365 services in the Oceania
region,” Microsoft
said on Twitter.
Down detector reports indicate that even though the number
dropped significantly by 11 am, the Office 365 health status site error still
affects the server. According to its status, Microsoft "investigates a
potential token problem that prevents users from authenticating to multiple
Microsoft 365 services or features."
It reported the problem, beginning at 9 am AEST, but said
the next update on its status would be delivered on June 15 at 1.30 pm. Many
users on Reddit have reported that most services have returned to them by
11.20am.
As the show goes on, even the tech doesn’t want to deal with
Monday morning.
